Summary
Loyola remits diaries of Cordero and Casanova to virrey. Copies of diaries included in documents. Cordero had difficulty finding traces of enemies due to heavy snowfall, but was able to bring back five Apache prisoners. Casanova likewise had difficulty at times with snow, but found tracks of cattle thieves. (D. Marksz, October 1987)

Believed that tasegoslan, Vivora killed in fighting as auxiliaries. Their bands at Janos. Reports of Indians killing citizens (not raiding, chose specific victims). Troops at Corral de Piedra, Conchos sent after them. Cordero in charge of arms in Nueva Vizcaya in Ugarte y Loyola's absence. Diaz de Luna bringing chaingang of Indians to Chihuahua. Journal of Tovar's campaign into hostile country with Opatas, Chiricahuas as auxiliaries. Mention of tren. Draft from viceroy ordering reward be paid to deserving auxiliaries. (A. Dean, April 1989)

Letter concerning imprisonment of Pozo, also of three soldiers who murdered two peaceful Apaches. Denojeant meets with friendly Pinal Apaches who want military approval to try to purge other Apaches out of Pinal. List of Apaches agreeing to peace at Denojeant's proposition on July 30, including Apache women (named). Mention of forty of Pozo's followers gathered at Bacoachi. (A. Dean, April 1989)
