Francisco definitely owns Garcia, and claims ownership of Domingo Nicolas, says gen Ugarte caught him and his secretary Anaya registered or noted this, and he Francisco, got Domingo from Ugarte. Pablo killed Marcos Perez at a mine. Is jailed and confesses to padre* his crime - also includes information that Sebastian aided him. Trial held. They are sentenced to 10 years at prison farm. On 20 of June they are sold at public auction to Diego Mularo for 130 pesos, who is buying for capitan Sebastian Gonzalez de Valdez. (R. Davis) (1975)

Francisco finds Antonio beaten up and wounded in the Head. Antonio accuses Geronimo, one of the Indian servants. Geronimo captured, jailed and eventually confesses. Summary
Indian troubles involving Conchos and Tarahumaras - efforts to solve problem. Includes pseudo-census of several villages, both named pueblos and Indian rancherias. Also, lists of soldiers participating. Fernandez de Carrion solves the problem. Tarahumaras have entered a hacienda and caused trouble with Indians working there, mostly Conchos. Carrion proceeds to capture some Tarahumaras and they are remitted to various haciendas in the area. This could well be a prelude to the Tarahumara revolt soon to come. A good example of military methodology, both in the field and on paper. (T. Barnes) (u975)

Cristobal kills Andres - after lengthy proceedings, in which Cristobals assigned public defender puts on a good show, Cristobal is convicted and sentenced to- 200 lashes, a Ride through the busy streets of town tied to a packsaddle, 3 years in the mines and 3 more years on a hacienda. All the monetary costs had to be paid by the Hacendado where Cristobal worked. (T. Barnes) (1975)
