Summary
Tovar sends Ugarte y Loyola a journal of all interactions with Indians at Janos. Describes peace negotiations with Yagonxli, his Father Natanifui, others of their band. Gifts (clothes, maiz, candy, salt, cigars, etcetera) given to all who come to Janos in trade for confidence, cooperation with peace plan. Yagonxli bargains with Tovar for papers to travel to Mimbres. Ugarte y Loyola writes back warning not to get too friendly with Apaches, fears they may incite revolt among other Indians. Draft of letter praising Janos peace with Gilenos, mentions campaign against hostile Indians in Sonora and Nueva Vizcaya. (A. Dean, March 1989)

Summary
Letter from Concha to Ugarte y Loyola saying he has consigned friendly Indian nations to guarding less cooperative tribes to maintain peace, requests military try to leave all of them alone, keep Spanish Side of agreement. Other letters discuss meetings with various Indian leaders, violations of peace plan, means of enforcement. Detailed description of two Comanche campaigns on Sierra Blanca Apaches. Mention of seasonal habitation Yutas y Xicarillas. Mention that Apaches Gilenos on south Side of Rio Grande seem sincere in wish for peace, those on north Side have made two invasions since plan in effect. (A. Dean, March 1989)

Two letters from Concha to Flores concerning various tribes of carries message from Sierra Blanca Apaches requesting peace negotiations. Concha seems well acquainted with individuals and general ethnography of several tribes, describes interactions with Faraones, others. Mention of Echeagary placing Chiricahuas in military company. Unsigned draft of letter to Concha restating atrocities of recent Apache raids, friendly Indians' mistrust for Apache advances. Letter from Ugarte y Loyola to Revilla Gigedo discussing above correspondence, mentions Equeracapa to visit Chihuahua to discuss last Comanche campaign against Apaches. (A. Dean, March 1989)

Concerns autos, plans and conditions regarding the establishment of Burgos by Escandon. Contains descriptions of geography, fertility of land and availability of water for irrigation. Review by Escandon and others of Indians, population, squad and property in town. Discussion of feasibility of irrigation and suitablity of pastures for cattle. Mentions possible Indian threat. says would need more people and soldiers. Indian captain from Tamaulipa arrives with peace request. Escandon grants request. Document does not contain name of Indian group. Discussion of proper location for settlement of these Indians. Contains list of families, names, ages and property. Similar list for squad. Mentions all people's obligation to remain in Burgos. says transportation in area difficult because pathways still need to be cut out. (M. Dannemiller, March 1989)

Summary
Concerns campaigns against Indians; presidio of Sacramento; Indians negotiate surrender but others refuse. Petition to relocate presidio of Sacramento to Santa Rosa Valley because of better strategic location to fight the Indians. Cura Flores gives accounts of events with Indians to viceroy; report is also given about the charity from missions toward Indians (items given to the Indians include cloth and food). Cura Flores argues that Santa Rosa Valley would be a better place for new presidio. Protection is asked for missions, specially for Nadadores, Santiago de Xalisco and San Buenaventura. Mention is given about the abundant Mineral and water resources in Santa Rosa de Coahuila. (M. Marroquin, February 1989)

Salazar's account of Garza Falcon's successful campaign against rebel Indians in Coahuila. Gives account of pursuit, battle and subsequent peace made with renegades. Following is Garza Falcon's letter to viceroy explaining terms of peace imposed on Indians. Also, viceroy's request that letter of thanks be sent to governor for a well-executed expedition. (J. H. Series of documents dealing with gubernatorial correspondence against Indians, prisoners are taken, 32 casualties are inflicted on Indian forces including women and children; Capitancillo antel turned himself in after his Father capitancillo Chiquito was devoured by a bear; military campaign is launched against Indians who had stolen horses, actions left several soldiers killed by Indians in a prolonged battle; Lipanes surrendered and went to live at the presidios after they were offered good treatment; report is given that Indians are engaged in a controversy among themselves, situation that would favor an alliance with Spaniards; statistical chart showing number of Indians who are in peace with Spaniards, chart includes men, women and children in rancherias which are named with the name of the Indian leader. Series of documents dealing with Indian and military Lipanes; peace treaty between Spaniards and Lipanes de Arriba (points of the treaty are included); campaigns against Lipanes de Abajo; capture of Indians who are giving up their weapons and surrender in the presidios; Indian women are taken prisoners; trade of weapons between Indian groups; alliance of Spaniards with subdued Indians; unconditional surrender of Indians who later are used in mission's agriculture; permits and passports given to Indian allies to negotiate with Indians rebels (Lipanes de Abajo); Indians express unhappiness due to extreme harassment by Spanish commander; Indian surrenders who had stabbed a military official. Series of documents concerning inprisonment of Indians who came to surrender, Zapato Sax is regarded as a Lipan leader; Pacheco suspected Indian informer is captured by one soldier in town; convoy left in pursuit of Indians who stole some horses from hacienda; Indians return some horses previously stolen to Spaniards; weapons and ammunitions are given to military officials; Ugarte y Loyola, reports on treaty negociated with Lipanez Indians (document is a letter which mentions some of regulations Indians were going to be subjected to.
