Ugarte requests permission to assume command of presidio of Santa Rosa in addition to his appointment as captain of Monclova. Includes notes on Ugarte's health (he has flatulento hippocondico) and unavailability of doctors or medicines at provincial capital. In Croix's response he fails to grant request. (J. Coronel Josef Yrigollen, governor elect of province of Texas, falls sick in Mexico on his way to Texas to assume his post. Requests an advance on his salary to pay for his medical expenses. Government agrees. Several of his salary status are presented and several requests for repayment. Yrigollen never recovers from his illness and Dies in Veracruz.
