Salcedo writes to virrey regarding relations with U.s. government and border dispute, also problems with mail being de artilleria and ingenieros that were supposed to be sent to woman prisoner of war; request from Garcia to retire to his home in Santander; letter from Josefa Saldierma to Gutierrez with novedades regarding her health; Gutierrez receives and sends other letters regarding desire to work in capital and be at home with sick wife, as well as avoiding risk of life and limb in region where Insurgentes still dominate; all correspondence revolves around Hidalgo's uprising and U.s. border dispute with Spain. Summary
Series of repetitive testimonies from americans, including several Negro slaves, caught in Texas herding mules and apaloosa horses to U.s. Animals were traded primarily by Comanches and Tahuacanes for beads, mirrors, cloth, tin plates, dyes, flintstones, and other gun accessories. Interrogators especially interested in information on suspected Indian alliance with rebels against Spanish. Questions nearly identical for all prisoners. (A. Tukey, October 1988)

Series of very repetitive testimonies by Spanish subjects caught herding large number of mules and apaloosa horses, bought or stolen from Comanches and other tribes, towards U.s. territory to be sold to U.s. citizens. Summary
Series of very repetitive transcripts of interrogations of Anglo-Americanos captured in several parts of Texas. Many confess to trading cloth, beads, dyes, and other trinkets with Indians for horses. Others hunting for bison under contract from Cook. Spanish interrogators especially interested in information concerning General Long, who is suspected of planning attack on Spanish territories from Louisiana. All captives, which include several Negro slaves, deny any connection with Long or rebel activities in Texas. Questions and responses nearly identical for all prisoners. (A. Tukey, October 1988)

Summary
Concerns Series of documents dealing with organization of provincias del oriente and Occidente. Correspondence among several government officials in regard to military administration issues such as pensions for widows, postal services, military supplies, counterinsurgency operations, peticions of more military officials for the army, weaponry factories, etc. Letters are very general and bear little information. Summary
Concerns letter signed by several military officials who were in charge of campaign to recover Texas which was captured by Bernardo Gutierrez, a rebel aided by united states bandits coming from Luisiana. Letter mentions that rebels are talking about a new republic called republica Mexicana. Indians, it is said, have taken advantage of the situation and are attacking the provinces more often. Spaniards are exhausted, afraid, and want to go home to Spain. Supplies are needed to continue campaign against rebels in Texas. (M. Marroquin, may 1989)
