Concerns raid against Apaches who killed two correo soldiers from presidio of Janos. Commander from San Buenaventura is promoted to captains for heroic actions carried out against Apaches. Viceroy orders to replace weapons and other items lost capotas, sables, Adargas etc.). Series of testimonies are taken from soldiers in an effort to assess the extent of the loss. Echegaray reports that he is arranging soldiers, supplies, horses and weapons for Ugalde's campaign including trade of horses and mules. Ugalde is notified of Gonzalez de Santianes' death.
