Letter from Cancio to viceroy regarding horses stolen by Indians while military personnel in bivouac were sleeping. Military personnel guilty of undisciplined acts. Cancio feels perpetrators were Subvapas rather than Huaquis or Pimas. Cancio informs of sending different groups to protect haciendas and pueblos as Indians also stole many mules in raid. (A.
