Summary
Accountant from Nuevo Reyno de Leon requests information from virrey on the matter of the death of Garcia Davila. Letter from the king to the virrey giving instructions concerning the death of Garcia Davila, the title, and the Diezmos from the church of Guadalaxara and Valladolid. Bentura is commissioned to make the division of the villages for the new church in Linares and for the church of Guadalaxara and Valladolid. Costanso is commissioned to make the maps of the new territorial division that are going to be sent to ministers of the churches, gobernadores, and Caxas reales. The bishops write virrey giving misinformation of the villages under their respective churches. Later the bishops accept the new division of territory established by the engineer. (D. Summary
Calzada accuses bishop Llanos of mishandling the properties of deceased bishop Bustamante. In several letters to the virrey, Calzada trys to demonstrate that Llanos is making the matters difficult for him and he wants the virrey to remove Llanos. Llanos is commissioned by the virrey to investigate whether there was fraud in Bustamente's administration of Diezmos. Fiscales from the royal hacienda defend bishop Llanos from the attacks of Calzada. Llanos Dies and the investigation of fraud stops until it is turned over to the fiscales who slow down the investigation, avoid accusations of fraud, and try to mediate. (D. Bautista, January 1990)

Summary
Concerns campaigns against Indians; presidio of Sacramento; Indians negotiate surrender but others refuse. Petition to relocate presidio of Sacramento to Santa Rosa Valley because of better strategic location to fight the Indians. Cura Flores gives accounts of events with Indians to viceroy; report is also given about the charity from missions toward Indians (items given to the Indians include cloth and food). Cura Flores argues that Santa Rosa Valley would be a better place for new presidio. Protection is asked for missions, specially for Nadadores, Santiago de Xalisco and San Buenaventura. Mention is given about the abundant Mineral and water resources in Santa Rosa de Coahuila. (M. Marroquin, February 1989)

Peramas' copy of documents concerning division of Californias between Franciscans and Dominicans. Includes real cedula ordering division; document giving names, ages, towns of origin of 24 Spanish Dominicans to be sent to new world, and salaries to be payed to prelates. Also, order that 5 missions be established along Lower Gila, Colorado rivers; Corbalan's of description Garces' entradas into Papagueria, Yumeria. Various documents from visitador Galvez to virrey concerning division of province. (J. H. Ochs, October 1897)

Summary
Blanquer asks retirement and pension as an invalid; notice that Blanquer served only one year at Principe and left with unearned salary, which was eventually paid back; very detailed biography of Blanquer; passport of Blanquer; some records of works completed; various scandals and disturbances concerning opposition to vacant seat of Dean y Cavildo pointed to as evidence of lack of qualification for Blanquer and seen as reason for his departure from Durango to Principe; Ugarte y Loyola points to 200 pesos given for transport against wages and then stolen in route, and Blanquer's slow arrival at Principe as further evidence of bad character; pension denied by fiscal because Blanquer not long enough in post, for not repaying advance of salary, and for lack of money in real Caja (p. Coyle November 1989)

Monserrate protests denigration of character caused by criminal charges; request of autos from opposition; fine placed on holders of seats of Dean y Cavildo for prejudice in canonry Vote; summary of previous autos in unfoliated section, E.g., Monserrate removed from temporary appointment and others voted in, leading to opposition and countercharges based on lack of qualifications as well as pending criminal charges of inobedience and, in case of Monserrate, of not carrying out duties of office while appointed; fifth of five related groupings (p.
