Summary
A Series of charges leveled against Diego Munos Jurado, a Franciscan serving as a parish priest, by his parishoners. The first part of the document is the Franciscan's defense, including a listing of the marriages and burials he has performed and the amount Charged. He also includes a census of the parish. In his defense he provides a great deal of information on the society and economics of the church in New Mexico. No action was taken against the Franciscan. (Robert H. Jackson) (1980)

This is a long informe written by fr. Francisco Iturralde to the guardian, dealing with personal matters in which fr. Iturralde defends himself against formal accusations brought against him. He suspects as the dununciantes either fr. Florenzio Ibanez or fr. Narcisco Gutierrez. He recounts the whole story of the happenings in the missions some of which is sordid. This is an original document written at the mission de Santa Theresa and bears the autograph of fr. Francisco Iturralde. (microfilm catalog)

This informe of fr. Bertran was sent to the guardian of the colegio de Santa Cruz and the discreets. It treats of the abuses then prevailing in the missions of Sonora, making serious accusations regarding the use of money by the missionaries, and other abuses. It bears no date but speaks of fr. Barbastro as the vice custodio and therefore was written after 1783, when these missions were made part of the custody of San Carlos. This is an original document with the autograph of fr. Bertran.
