In addition to testimony, a comprehensive list of the questions asked by the commission is included, providing insight into the expectations of the government regarding the duties of the Alcalde mayor. Although Juan Fernandez de Carrion was suspected or accused of some Mal practice, he came off clear. The charges brought against him (mis-use of funds and favoritism) proved not to be substantial.
