Summary
A useful concise account of a. Dominguez's and Velez de Escalante's journey to utah lake. Morfi's account has the advantage of retrospect and is much easier to follow than the original diary. He also uses the failure of the expedition to call for more aid in settling the area between New Mexico and the coast. Also, remarks on Anza's explorations and movement among the Navajos. Some insight into inter tribal relations. (J. Grusin) (1976)
