Bishop urges that frontier cavalry be converted into infantry to increase number of fighting men available and advocates formation of new presidios. Administrative documents primarily from governador Barri to virrey. Ff 20 contains interesting table of Indian hostilities from 1771-1776; lists numbers of dead and persons taken captive, ranches and haciendas depopulated, and cattle robbed from various administrative units of Nueva Vizcaya. Ff 54 contains a table of wine and aguardiente production in some jurisdictions. Many documents deal with conduct of prisoners to capital and expenses prisoners had to pay for said conduct. Teniente Yarto informed of Barri's death in February, 1784, and continues on as interim governor. August, 1784 Velazquez accepts governorship. (D. Marksz, March 1987).
