A diary of military life in 14 monthly installments. During 1885 and 1886 Bigelow rode extensively over southern Arizona between the Santa Cruz Valley and the Huachucas and as far north as the Gila River. Excellent pictures of the country, especially the Patagonia Mountains.

Kept during a punitive expedition led by King Woolsey against the Indians, from Prescott to the vicinity of Stafford and back
