Summary
Letter from Borica to Revillagigedo describing his trip through missions in Alta California while taking possession of his post as governor, good situation of Indians, gentleness of treatment and easy work. Letter describing agricultural achievments in los Angeles and San Jose as well as the soap factory in Santa Barbara and the mills in San Luis and Santa Cruz, a better road from Santa Clara to Santa Cruz has been laid as well as one from San Luis to Purisima avoiding the area of Buchon. Letter concerning plans to build a new presidio in San Francisco, explanations of urgency to do so due to lack of water and bad strategic position of the old one. Letter from real tribunal summarizing San Francisco's history and supporting Boricas petition to move the factory and the mission to a new location. Recommendation to deal with more urgent problems like finding buyers for produce of the area, and staying in old factory in San Francisco for the time being. Letters from real consejo recommend building a convent of San Fernardo order, which will provide monetary gain, this is compared with the creation of new missions on Colorado. (T. Documentation
Monterrey. June 26, 1795. 60p. Informe, architectural plans. Maps. Signed
Summary
Accounts from San Francisco's presidio from 1776-1781, description of its creation since moragas arrival. Plan of San Francisco's presidio. Receipts from workers with detailed description of materials used and amount of labor required. Description of presidio and the advantages of moving it closer to the barracks to protect San Francisco's port. Letter asking for money to cover expenses for years 1785-1794 and advising not to change the location of the presidio to a more Solid land, instead a convent should be established in San Francisco to produce some monetary gain and conquer the Indians. Correspondence back and forth regarding relocation of presidio, finally permission is denied. Informe sent by Cordova describes how due to the close location of the presidio to the beach, and its construction (Barro y Adobe), every time they have to fire the canons in order to protect themselves the walls of the presidio crumble. Due to the size of the port it is impossible to defend it from enemy ships. Maps of San Francisco's bay and presidio. Summary of materials and expenses for building new presidio. (T. Kahana, July 1989)

Summary
Informes claiming that bishop Llanos y Valdes of Monterrey was threatening people there with excommunication for trivial reasons, demanding such threats stop. Many requests that something be done to help the city to return to its Former tranquility. There is also discussion of halted convent. The bishop moved the episcopal seat to Saltillo, in the farthest reaches of the Obispado, where he then purchased houses with money intended for the religious construction in Monterrey. Alva mentioned the disharmony between the bishop and Herrera (gobernador) in relation to the problems. (S. Langmack April 1990)

Summary
Beginning on ff.178 of this volume, there is a list of 20 items concerning the management abilities and behavior of the bishop Llanos y Valdes in Monterrey. Within this set of documents is a rough draft of the first 17 items on that list. They particularly concern his practices in relation to the construction of cathedral, Hospital, convent (for monjas Capuchinas), and seminary. This rough draft is followed by a Series of letters, none signed but all written in the same handwriting and on the same date but to different people, which refer to grave points directed against the person and dignity of the bishop. These letters are dated earlier than the rough draft. (S. Langmack, April 1990)

Monterrey. September 24, 1799-October 15, 1799. 58p. Informe. Original, unsigned, copies.
Summary
List of 20 suggestions for handling the religious construction halted by Llanos y Valdes (bishop) before of his death, para averiguar la realidad. the Author, unnamed, thought it important to list and interpret these for the recipient of this information. The listing is followed by such an interpretation. The author hoped for a response from the recipient, named only as vuestro Senor Dean y Cavildo de la Santa Yglesia del Nuevo Reyno de Leon. the discussion is the same as it has been why the bishop halted the construction; the salary paid to the architect; in general, the economics of the matter; the fact that the bishop independently decided to move the episcopal seat to Saltillo (it is pointed out that the route from Monterrey to Saltillo, which would be taken to move the construction materials, went over the Sierra Madres and past indios barbaros); that he failed to give sacraments to many including some who died without receiving them; etc. Also, mention is made of the bishop using the threat of excommunication in Cases which the author considered trivial y de ninguna importancia (number 8 in the informe, ff.179) and he mentioned the excommunication of Blanco (number 9, ff.179). Ff.183 contains list of goods received by Urgarte y Bungoa from Llanos y Valdes, the bishop whom the controversy surrounds, including priests clothing and religious items (chalice, mass book, etc).
