Summary
States that Yaquis, Mayos, numbering 12 thousand armed men, peaceful, industrious in past (notes work in mines), but now robbing haciendas, ranches surrounding area. Describes several unsuccessful campaigns against them, including capture 30 citizens Villa de Sinaloa, captured in supposedly loyal Pueblo Santa Cruz de Mayo, beaten, turned loose nude on foot. says Sinaloan forces inadequate to contain the sedition. Fears it will spread to Pimas Bajos, Tehuecos. says Sonoran forces tied down Apacheria. Request aid from Nueva Vizcaya, including 300-400 Tarahumara auxiliaries.
