Summary
Requests 50 or more soldiers from Nueva Vizcaya. States frontier Sonoran forces fighting Apaches, unable to help suppress Indian uprising involving Yaquis, Mayos, Pimas, Guaymas (Seri group), threatening to spread to Tepahues, Macoyaguis, Indians Rios Fuerte, Sinaloa. Describes 5/31 attack on Huidobro himself in Valle de Cedros. States Indians attempting to cut off access to south, Nuevo Vizcaya, using spies to monitor Spanish forces. Describes available Sinaloan forces as too poor to be effective, lacking necessary arms. Asks again for Tarahumara auxiliaries. (T. Sheridan) (1976)
