A report on Indian depredations in provinces and their consequences ; notes include descriptions of isolated Tepehuane communities continuing traditional lifeways; dangerous alliance of Tarahumaras and barbarians; commerce of some Tarahumaras in stolen horses; loyalty and productivity of some Tepehuanes and Tarahumaras; Fayni stresses wild character of many of Indians of province, so many years after conquest. He concludes by stressing bad effect of Indian wars on otherwise rich and fertile province. (J. Williams, March 1987)
