Concerns observations of Lipanes by soldiers and a statement regarding situation by a civilian from San Antonio. says group encountered 2 Indians who later returned with 20 others on horseback but unarmed indicating they were mestenos. Encountered civilian who warned them about hostile Indians farther ahead and related past incident along same path. says Indians particularly hostile and desire vengeance. Disagreement over murder of Indian capitan Saz angers Indians who force group to leave keeping one of their horses. Contains accounts of conversations with Indians concerning past incidents, Saz murder, and other attacks. Some faithful Indians informed soldiers of planned raids.
