Summary
Series of documents concerning confrontation between group of soldiers and Apaches in Cruzes. Detailed description of battle that lasted 5 hours. Discussion of the weapons used by the soldiers and the Indians, as well as of the soldiers killed and injured. Discussion that soldiers should be promoted; royal decree to be distributed in the province in order to encourage more soldiers to act with valor against Indians. (J. Tapia, November, 1987).
