Gobernador Vaamonde answers in detail to accusations raised against him before the virrey (ff.1-6) referring to the attached evidence (ff.7-38). He suggests that some people is trying to calumniate him, because when he assumed his functions he began to execute many judicial processes that were interrupted. Therefore, those who are to be prosecuted are trying to stop him doing so. The viceroy replies ratifying his unconditional support to Vaamonde. (A. Nielsen, September 1989)
