Summary
Series of letters between officials of direccion del Tabaco, the viceroy (Revilla Gigedo), and other government officials concerning status of tobacco taxes from Provincias Internas now that it has been separated from New Spain. They include copies of letters from 1777 which discuss creation of Provincias Internas under Croix, and its political and economic separation from New Spain.
