March 1, 1655 orig. Sgnd.
An indio amigo provides testimony regarding an attack suffered by himself and other friendly Indians while they were cutting wood. Attacked by about fifty hostiles, the witness claims that he and his companions gave a good account of themselves, several enemies leaving traces of blood on the ground. The witness was wounded in the eye and his companions were also hurt. Fortunately, they were rescued by the arrival of capts. Duarte and Jimenez. (C. Needham) (1975)
