Summary
These somewhat inconclusive documents concern an incident on the hacienda of Juan Leal. Apparently, a number of Negro slaves who were imprisoned there attempted to make good their escape, Jose Tenorio being injured in the process. The investigation is conducted by the Alcalde mayor, Juan de Aguileta. (C. Needham) (1975)
