Documents concerning Tarahumara factionalization, unrest. After Balthasar Rancho assures gobernador Alday Tarahumaras not in rebellion, he describes unrest, especially in pueblos of Papigochi and Tomochic caused by Tarahumara-Pima Indian named Stanislao, who id undermining authority of Tarahumara gobernador Sebastian, committing other seditions acts, attempting to form own Pueblo with followers from other Tarahumara villages and mugeres de Mala Vida y comunes. Rancho defends Sebastian against charges of teniente Arriola and others concerning his administration. (T. Sheridan) (1976)
