Summary
Gobernador Alday charges Coaguileno Indians of Santa Rosa de Nadadores with rebellion and apostasy, claiming they and their gobernador, Don Pablo- 1) left their mission; 2) incited Cocoyomes to rebellion; 3) Allied themselves with Coaguilenos at Cinco Senores led by Don Pablo's Brother Don Francisco, as well as Cabesas at Parras; 4) committed murders and robberies, including attack on Monclova in 1721. Sarmiento, appointed Juez comisario by Alday, interrogates the Nadadores Coaguilenos, imprisoned in Parral jail. Don Pablo informs him Coaguilenos fled Nadadores because of trouble at Coaguila presidio. Alday recommends Indian prisoners be deported.
