Summary
Gobernador Mateo Antonio Mendoza decrees that all Ranchos de labor and haciendas de Campo shall be in a state of alert for 60 days to repel Indian attacks. All owners and/or mayordomos are required to have horses ready and 1 out of every 10 servants armed and ready to fight. Failure to comply will result in a fine of 200.00. (P. Hayes) (1977)
