Summary
This is a plan of development for the frontier aimed making Velez de Escalante's plan a reality ie to link the port of Monterey with New Mexico. This would open new areas for settlement and missionary work and bring more pressure to bear on warring Indians. Miera proposes sites for forts and routes. (J. Grusin) (1976)
