Summary
An order, to be published at a time of a fiesta when all of the Taos Indian officials are present, prohibiting commerce with the Cumanches by the Indians of Taos Pueblo under Pain of a 500 peso fine. Furthermore, the death penalty is provided for any Taos Indian who goes more than one league from the Pueblo without proper authorization, and with no exceptions. (R. Jackson) (1980)
