Summary
A negotiated agreement between Maria Guadalupe Ortis and Thomas Maese, releasing Maese from an obligation to marry Ortis. Maese had gotten Ortis pregnant, but since she had reportedly already had two children she was willing to forgo marriage in return for a cash payment of 18 pesos over three years and the obligation to raise the child as a legitimate offspring.
