Summary
Fray Vera writes a confidential letter to Manrique, informing him of secret meetings between Indians and others - some of whom may be americans or French. Some Indian boys have been threatened with death by their elders, to keep the meetings secret. Fray Vera is impressed by the measures taken by the suspected conspiracy to guard their meetings and to avoid being caught by surprise by any intruder. Fray Vera urges Manrique to take appropriate measures to avoid a possible uprising. (Lloyd Kendall) (1980)
