Summary
Concerns documents on reduccion of idol workshiping Indians. Viceroy asks when Indians will be ready to pay tributes. List of soldiers for presidio of Nayarit are appointed (list is provided here). Governor Canaveral accuses captain Oca of being negligent in the administration of presidio, the reason why Indians have not been reduced yet. Letter of denunciation is sent to the viceroy. (M. Concerns description of Indians native religious activities and their ceremonies. Objects, such as pots and arrows are used in Indians' ceremonies. Canaveral reports the seizure of Indian idols found hiden in caves and houses. Viceroy sends orders to punish idolatry of Indians with 200 whips and 10 years in prison. (M. Marroquin, April 1989)

Summary
Informes concerning spiritual and temporal life at missions in upper and Lower Pimerias; included is number of inhabitants, births, deaths, etc; means of livelihood of inhabitants, and religious state of affairs. Documents describe depredations due to inhospitable climate and Indians (i.e. Apaches), and also discuss feasibility of uniting outlying populations into larger groups to facilitate civil, religious administration. Informes written in response to order and carta de cordillera sent by viceroy, and president of colegio de Santa Cruz de Querataro, respectively. (J. H. Ochs, July, 1987)
