Mention of several incidents of Indian depredations, list of volunteers from Julimes to fight against Indians included, also mention of captain de la Cruz of naciones Nortenas to join in campaign against Indians. List of miners and merchants and discussion of bankruptcy of Nueva Vizcaya and of necessity to collect funds not only for war but also for construction of church. Discussion of extra funds to be collected from merchants and miners and from anyone who wishes to donate grain, horses, weapons etc. Cuellar is to collect these donations. Letters between Cavildo de Horcasitas, governor of Santander, and viceroy in reference to attacks suffered by region from different Indian groups killing many inhabitants, stealing agricultural products, horses, cattle and other goods including clothing. Plans by governor to attack groups; frustration due to impossibility to find culprits as many groups have requested and live under peace, but do damage under guise of peaceful coexistance. Viceroy orders formation of companias volantes and doubling personnel in established ones to defeat, reduce or exterminate Indian groups if conditions continue. (A. Dell'acqua, April 1988)
