Documents from tribunal de Cuentas concerning captain of Carrizal presidio, Narciso Muniz, request for one-third of his salary be sent to his wife Catalina Marchan to move from Madrid to Mexico City. Documents include records of Muniz' military service, presidial finances, and similar Cases involving officers at presidios of Buenaventura and San Savas. Records indicate Muniz retired to Ciempozuelos, Spain. (G. Lavalley, November 1986).

Request for establishment of a military Hospital in el Valle de Santa Rosa, Coahuila. Petition for a surgeon, Sangrador and Boticario. Discussion over salary and travel advances for new doctor and pharmacist. Includes correspondences supporting arguments on salaries and payment of travel advances. Carrazco, Piloto and contador of fragata Concepcion, and Rodriquez, comandante of San Diego presidio, report to fiscal authorities in Mexico that three items which appeared in Memorias of 1800 are not accounted for in shipment of effects ordered from Mexico. Value of these are 226 pesos. from this time, November 1800 until April 1811, correspondence passes between San Diego, Mexico and intermediate points where missing items and those responsible for them might be located. Bulk of documents are fiscal materials from real tribunal de Cuentas and other bodies dealing with economic aspects of problem, and declaraciones taken from officials in San Blas and elsewhere. Eventually decision is that Carrazco is to reimburse royal treasury for amount of three items. Documents are of interest primarily in tracing course of problem through administrative bureaucracy over a considerable period of time. (J. M. Johnson, December 1986).
