Troops from Nuevo Santander and Nuevo Reyno de Leon instructed to remain as auxiliaries in Texas. Vedia y Pinto requests retirement due to illness. F. 204 describes illness as dolor de pulmones. Calleja verifies said illness and approves request for retirement. Doctor Covarrubiastestifies to Vedia y Pinto's illness and describes it as callos de los Pies. F. 211 mentions Gomez de Castro's campaign against Mescales and the groin injury he suffered in that campaign.
