This very interesting Series of documents provides reports of Indian attacks in the area of the Rio de Florida. A company of soldiers, eventually with some Indian auxilaries, is dispatched to investigate the reports and punish those responsible. A list of the soldiers (about fifty) is provided. A very detailed account, with good geographical references, is given by the officer in charge of the mission. A stomach-wrenching description of the Spaniards tortured and slain by the rebels is provided, as well as a detailed account of the encounter and capture of the rebels. (C. Needham) (1975)

Apparently the Tarahumaras, defeated, temporarily at least, are then recruited, to fight the Tobosos - recruited as Amigos and therefore paid for their services. The caciques of the Tarahumaras claim to bring 380 Indians to fight with the Spanish. Rather comprehensive and detailed document. (T. Barnes) (1975)

Indian troubles involving Conchos and Tarahumaras - efforts to solve problem. Includes pseudo-census of several villages, both named pueblos and Indian rancherias. Also, lists of soldiers participating. Fernandez de Carrion solves the problem. Tarahumaras have entered a hacienda and caused trouble with Indians working there, mostly Conchos. Carrion proceeds to capture some Tarahumaras and they are remitted to various haciendas in the area. This could well be a prelude to the Tarahumara revolt soon to come.
