Concerns trip by Mezieres and soldiers to Caudachos to discuss peace with Caudachos and other Indian captains. Speeches made and medal given. Discusses intergroup hostilities. Need to recover 2 canons and 2 freed slaves. Reports on visits to apostolate Caranames, and to peaceful Tancaueys and details of their migratory pattern. Visit to Quitseys. Defines Comanche territory and describes group as hostile. Concerns French arms commerce with Indians. Discusses Indian discontent and their lack of desire for peace.
