Summary
Hampier, a 'vecino' of Mexico City, requests that one male and one female Meco Indian child, preferably of no more than seven years, be handed over to him for religious instruction. Witnesses testify in support of Hampier's intentions. Hampier has no 'domicilio fijo' in Nueva Espana, plans to return to Spain with children where they will become 'profesores de la doctrina christiana.' two children selected from a 'collera' of Mecos and Apaches being resettled from 'Provincias Internas' are left in Veracruz, girl at 'casa de las Recogidas,' Boy at 'hospicio de los pobres.' directors ordered to hand over children to Hampier.
