Payments to religious orders of Jesuits, Franciscans and Augustinians are mostly limosnas (stipends) but numbers of priests in various missionary areas are specified. Payrolls are given for each presidio, occasionally to name of each soldier and officer but other expenses are not detailed except monies evidently advanced to officers in a type of petty cash account.
