Documents relate economic matters. Prado's delivery of Cuenta de la Mineria y comercio of Chiguaga. F.f. 146 contains a list of salaries, loans, and gratifaz, that the troops of the presidios receive annually; the salaries of comandante inspector generales and their ayuadantes also listed. Other documents concern the money sent to Chiguagua covering six months salaries of troops, the cost of new precincts, salary of comandante inspector and his two assistants. (P. Lenz, October 1989)

Detailed accounting of supplies and rations for troops on Rivera y Moncada's expedition to Colorado River from San Gabriel. expenses to be Charged against Limon for clothing, supplies and transportation of settlers. Detailed accounts pertain to 1781 Rivera y Moncada expedition conducting soldiers, recruits, settlers and livestock to Nueva California. expenses listed for settlements at buenvavista, Tucson, Pitic, Nutrias, Altar and later for those in California. expenses provided for individuals in expedition, broken down into salaries, personal effects, clothing, weapons, etc. Lists of mules, horses, burros, etc. With numbers, costs, dates additional ones requested and where obtained; explanations of their distribution and use, acknowledgement of delivery. Lists of items and accessories used on expedition, utensils, tools, materials used for repair. Detailed discussion of adjustment of accounts by interviews with surviving desertors on salaries, items lost in massacre or recovered from survivors. Information on preparational organization and costs for expedition from Limon and Manuel Ruiz. Some biographical information provided on individuals participating in expedition. (J. M. Due to travel by Corbalan and new viceroy, correspondence is irregular. Ff. 416-417 is detailed accounting of income- outflow of pay office (Pagaduria) of Arizpe for 1784, including expenditures for defense against Indians. Corbalan writes Galvez and receives reply on latters promotion. F. 424 lists total products sold by various Ramos of real hacienda de Sonora, compared to 1783; also expenses of military missions in province. (J. M. Johnson, April 1988)

Gobernador of California requests permission and pasaportes from virrey for three priests from colegio Apostolico de San Fernando de Mexico to be sent to California missions to replace recently deceased missionaries. Sent on fragata Princesa from San Blas via Santa Barbara where they receive mission and presidio fiscal records to deliver to gobernador in Monterrey. (J. M. Johnson, November 1986).

Seven Franciscan missionaries arrive in Veracruz on fragata San Apostolico de San Fernando de Mexico. Letters dated 1805-1809 between gobernador de California and officials in Mexico regarding case of Francisco Antonio farensio, an italian Franciscan who on return from Manila on fragata Concepcion became ill. Requests permission to remain in Spanish territory from gobernador who writes virrey to resolve problem of granting a foreigner right to residency. Farnesio sent to Convento de San Francisco de Mexico via San Blas. Letters from the Superior of Convento to Arzobispo de Mexico testifying to Farnesio's exemplary religious conduct, loyalty to Spanish crown and inability to travel to Europe because of serious illness. Later letter recommends he be sent to Italy when well. In 1809, guardian del colegio Apostolico de San Fernando de Mexico requests permission and pasaportes from virrey for Franciscan missionaries, Pedro Panto and Marcelino Marquines who are to replace recently deceased priests in missions of Nueva California.
