Two maritime districts are created, San Blas and Veracruz, offices established and regulations outlined-special emphasis on dealing with deserters; dispatch of transportation to Acapulco to pickup Areche; surgeons named to ships destined for California; Salazar turns down offer to be chaplain for ships to California; notice of pay raise; certifaction of aptitude of Martinez; ship la conception incapable of trip to California because of broken keel, turned into flat-bottomed boat; good ships for travel to California and Sonora, and conversion of ship to flat-bottom sworn to by ships officers; original request and grant of pay raises; request that Sister of Bausa be sent part of his salary as support.
