Summary
Tovar is worried about Yagonxli, his wife Tavardillo, who are in keeping at Janos. Yagonxli is ill, refuses Spanish treatment, could die. Fear that if he Dies, trauma will sever peaceful relations with tribe. Indian auxiliaries at Bacoachi deserting, upset with Spanish. Ojos Colorados (aparently son of Yagonxli) and Griguicen arrive with about 40 men. Tovar concerned that supplies low, no meat or gifts to appease Indians. Vague letters discussing aspects of peace plan. Draft from viceroy praising plan but advising caution. (A. Dean, April 1989)

Letter concerning imprisonment of Pozo, also of three soldiers who murdered two peaceful Apaches. Denojeant meets with friendly Pinal Apaches who want military approval to try to purge other Apaches out of Pinal. List of Apaches agreeing to peace at Denojeant's proposition on July 30, including Apache women (named). Mention of forty of Pozo's followers gathered at Bacoachi. (A. Dean, April 1989)

Autos accusing Martinez of being drunk and shooting through the Door of Monica Gonzalez. All the people who saw the incident were questioned and all felt he was completly drunk. Documents concerning Ramon's punitive expedition against rebel Indians in Coahuila, founding of Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe de Tlaxcala, and other issues. Cuerbo de Valdes mentions death of 5 soldiers in aforementioned campaign, distribution of captive women and children to participating soldiers; requests supplies of arms and powder. Also included is fiscal's comments and suggestions, decisions of junta general concerning Coahuilan affairs which threatens hacenderos with fines should they be found guilty of mistreating Indians. Establishment of new bishopric in Nuevo Santander and administration of bishorpric (Obispado) in Provincias Internas. Vassels, tribute paying towns, missions, and tithes listed in detail as well as Indians populations that inhabit adjacent regions. Establishment of new bishopric serves regions of Santander, Nueva Estremadura, Coaguila, Texas, and Nueva Philipinas. Mission details consist of dotacion, mission goods, land owned, horses and cattle owned, lists of finances and expenses. Summary
Series of documents concerning peaceful Indians being resettled in presidios. Mention is made of unwillingness Indians have to being moved, prefering to stay where they were born. Results of military campaigns against Apaches is reported to viceroy, outcome of military actions involved some Indians killed, soldiers injured, Indians taken prisoners including women and children.
