409 inhabitants divided among 2 pueblos, numerous rancherias. Language Pima, similar to Tepehuan. Flood plain agriculturalists along River whose flow decreases during dry periods. People new converts, living peacefully now. Gentile Indians in mountains. Geographical location noted.
