Summary
Ripperda awaits visit of Mecieres with Indians from nations desiring peace. Campaign desired against continued Apache hostilities. Apache union with naciones de adentro. Concerns troop movement, mail delivery, relief of detachments, use and position of 29 San Sabas troops. Describes March of castaways from English schooner including sale of supplies and horses. Ripperda acknowledges receipt of viceroy's letters. Reports to viceroy refusal to return Comanche women in peace negotiations; appointment of interim capitan of Bahia; receipt of autos of soldier accused of killing another soldier; receipt of order to not request mission Indians for campaigns or defense; resignation of Thobar; publishing of vandos about new currency and postal service.
