Indian attack on hacienda de sandinas; letter describing the efforts of lozaya and moral to apprehend indian attackers; Emparan sends out lozaya to hacienda sandinas to bring back two indians (mescaleros) who arrived at hacienda in peace; empazan uses the example of the apprehended prisoners to justify his request for additional troops; letter describing an indian attack in which two indians were killed, one from mission, also capitan lombrana (indian); Gutierrez de la cueva speaks of indians who are seeking a peace treaty; guiterrez again writes of the indians that came to seek a peace treaty and the reasons why he thinks that they are possibly spies who are sizing up the settlement for a later attack.
