Summary
Garrido states that some of the information requested was destroyed when rebels entered the town; making copies of accounts due even though their collection is not promising, imposition of notas de embarazo on treasury, attributes diminution of rebellious activity to administrative change by king and mentions decreasing number of gunboats, ships etc. In port of Veracruz, change being the dependencia del commercio libre; remission of the accounts in question were suspended in 1810 in light of rebellion and Carvajal seeks to dissuade any notion of fraud being real reason monies were not remitted. Miyares y Mancebo writes cover letter for the assorted letters of the ministers of the real hacienda which gave explanations why accounts were not remitted to the real tribunal of each. (O.
