Suggests military protection be provided for satellite pueblos of Parral. Oxinaga asserts that even if Oconor's efforts produce good results, if he does not follow orders he should not be paid for his rank. Oxinaga submits letter recounting Apache attacks repelled with limited success due to disadvantage of weapons, horses and provisions. Asks for military protection from Indian raids. Reports to virrey by comandante de las Armas Munoz of events on the frontier; primarily about continuous problems with Indians robbing and stealing--usually Apaches, but also other groups. Munoz promoted to teniente Coronel de Cavalleria. Review of Munoz' service by O'Conor including extensive list of numbers of Indians killed and where. Arze y Amaya sent on expedition to frontier was promoted to Ayudante mayor, but complained he was document relates illness of unnamed party and how his health suffered in service to king. Some argument over whether Chivato was baptized. Fiscal Posada orders Chivato and companeros to Valladolio to learn catechism and be civilized under care of Davila.
