Summary
Series of documents dealing with military campaigns against Apache Indians; summary of Indian activities and hostilities against the Spaniards; military operations against Indians resulted in the recovery of horses, cattle and the capture of Indians who were taken prisoners and cut their ears off, some Indians were decapitated; chart in this document condenses outcome of military actions against Indians (number of prisoners, combat casualties, Indians killed and animals recovered); military operation is organized and leaves in pursuit of Indian leader who escaped from coachi; letter is sent to the viceroy giving notice of Apache leader being resettled in presidio of Tupson. Series of documents concerning report on budget spent in dealing with Comanches; governor Castro reports about military disadvantages of provincias under his supervision; letter notifying the viceroy about death of Indian prisoner; group of soldiers leave to investigate Indian tracks near their headquarters, Indians stole some horses in the area; letter reporting that an Indian woman and two children were killed when Indians confronted the soldiers; diaries of military actions in San Antonio de Bexar; letter notifying viceroy on the arrival of Indian woman and children to the mission of San Antonio de Bexar; letters and reports on various Indian and soldier's confrontations, Indians who were killed were beheaded by soldiers. Summary
Concerns captain Murgier defending himself from charges that he sent to execute Indians in public. Munoz accuses Murgier of killing Indians who were at peace with Spaniards in cold blood. Murgier provides his military service history in service to the crown. Murgier claims that Indians were escaping and their heads were brought to him just to prove that Indians did not escape.
