Accounts of articles, both durable and perishible, shipped usually on an annual Basis through port of San Blas, to the Franciscan missions (ultimately totaling 15) of upper California. Accounts, which are separate for each mission, cover period 1770-1800 depending on mission founding date. Some years shipments are broken down to each article no matter how small and its cost (probably market Guadalahara); other years only total cost of shipment provided. No entries for some years but generally appears complete. Final section lists names, dates and travel expenses for friars on official missions to upper California. Accounts close 1800. (D. Summary
Galvez grants several Catalan families licencia to settle in Sonora and work newly discovered mines; Pujol placed in charge of group's transportation and welfare. List of individuals making journey provided, including age, physical description, marital status; each to receive 2 reales daily to cover costs. Sail in fragata nuestra Senora de la Concepcion, heading first to Havana segun las reglas del comercio Libre. en route, Pujol requests financial auxilios, as per diem too small. Group ordered to resume travel conforme a la contrata signed in Spain or all financial aid. Members lodge complaints against Pujol, described as malicious. Pujol defends himself, denies accusations, arguing contract impossible to fulfill if per diem not increased, that group practically forced to beg. Croix assigns Fages to carry additional money to group and take charge; Fages finds members dispersed (See folio 29), difficult to organize for remainder of trip. Moreno decides Pujol may be cruel, but per diem indeed too low, increases it to 3 reales. (L. Kerr, April 1989)

Summary
Letters to Corbalan regarding Neve's papers and receipt of goods received and price paid, and attempts to distinguish Neve's belongings from those of Cavallero de Croix. Medina to Galindo Navarro regarding receipt of copy of Neve's will and plans for making inventories and auction. Corbalan to Galindo Navarro Corbalan's being chosen as executor of Neve's will and duties transactions; commissions. Dongo to Galindo Navarro regarding selection of Neve's executors and news of Neve's death. Autos concerning choice of executors and plans for auction, Corbalan is organizing auction in Arispe; 7 receipts for purchases by Neve presented by Fernandes, and paid by executors as stipulated in will, including payment for mules stolen by Apaches, and payment to doctor. Account of auction of Neve's belonging (household goods, clothing, weapons, livestock), with buyer and purchase price provided for each item conducted by Fernandes; autos attest that auction was carried out by Fernandes according to request in will. Price of gold Chapa evaluated by silversmith. Rengel to Sal regarding Neve's papers. Ugarte y Loyola to Galvez regarding autos of inventories of Neve's belongings. List of Neve's belongings with value not sold at auction; list of belongings of gold and silver with price appraisal; belongings not sold in Chihuahua due to high prices, in Mexico prices are Lower according to Cervantes; Dongo expresses difficulty selling furniture. Accounts of funds spent according to requests in Neve's will for bills (copies of bills and receipts included) including funeral expenses, doctors, medicine, services, masses, household goods, transportation of goods and funds, servants' salaries, legal fees and appraisers' fees. Neve's belongings (including description and value) sent to Dongo in Mexico by Fernandez; acknowledgement of receipt of objects. Documents concerning final accounts of the auction, deductions from Neve's wealth, and that executors carried out functions satisfactorily, including final remittances of funds and uniforms to heirs and to Caxa de Bienes de difuntos de Cadiz. Salcedo argues for increase in troops and weaponry in Texas, Luisiana, and neighboring provinces to meet threat posed by U.s. Includes reports on number of troops and weapon inventory for presidios in region, as well as estimation of distances between presidios. Summary
Orders from viceroy to Anza about recruitment of soldiers with families to move to and settle San Francisco California, appointments of lieutenant and Sergeant to be in command of garrison. Also appointment of friars to accompany expedition with cooperation of fray Serra establish two missions in area settled. de Anza travels to Sinaloa and established towns in Sonora recruiting families and purchasing supplies, cattle, horses and mules for March with orders to leave as soon as possible carrying enough supplies to leave with settlers until area is established. Viceroy orders de Anza to turn command of expedition in Monterrey to Moncada who will command presidio in San Francisco, also is ordered to select with Moncada site for presidio and missions to be established and return to Sonora as soon as task accomplished. de Anza informs viceroy of progress made in recruitment impossibility of Alferez Morada to go with expedition as wife has terminal disease, also notifies viceroy of death of sargent Espinosa to unknown epidemic which has affected many families recruited slowing progress many months. de Anza request substitution of sargent from O'Conor military inspector and general commander. List of soldiers with families is sent to viceroy amounting to 191 persons not counting muleskinners, people attached to expedition like merchants, farmers who are not being paid by de Anza who is supplying them with food only, also three families whose husbands are attached to presidio of Monterrey. Anza expedition starts from Tubac on October 20, Ten months after viceroy issued orders which Anza argues is best time due to rains which will provide water and better pasture for animals. Attached are letters from fray Garces who is reluctant to go with expedition wanting instead to establish missions in upper Colorado and Gila rivers, viceroy issues him orders to join expedition under de Anza which he agrees with reluctance requesting his own special assistants and his own transportation.
