Garay requests retirement with rights of Fuero militar and use of uniform. F. 115 gives service record of Garay with list of companies he served in, ranks held, and campaigns waged. Ff. 115 -116 speaks of action contra rebels at San Andres de Teul and the loss of Zacatecas. Important facts stated concerning action at Zacatecas. Number of participants and armaments given. Action at Santiago de la Laguna describes length of battle and loss of life suffered. Number of participants and dead stated. F. 116 mentions Garay's liver disease. Dr. Muns verifies illness and describes it as escurbuto sifilitico. Symptoms of illness described. Cure prescribed by Muns. F. 118 is an important letter written by Garay in which he speaks of Hidalgo contubieron la insurrecion promovida Por el infame Hidalgo. Summary
General account of Neve's wealth compiled by Corbalan including liquid assets, salaries, and account of Neve's expenses owned to various individuals; salary of Neve with deductions for Monte Pio, Invalidos, Media anata, and conduccion a Espana. Account of transport costs for goods bought from Neve's estate (receipt of muleteer). Account of Neve's expenses, costs of food items and household goods bought and services provided (carpentry, transportation, laundry); Series of receipts of money paid out by Neve's executors and funds deposited in Rosario treasury. Neve's widow prohibited from receiving the sum of inheritance Neve indicated in his will. List of gun powder and household goods for sale left at Neve's hacienda by Croix. Dongo and Corbalan correspond regarding freeing Neve's funds to pay Neve's debts, including debt to late doctor sales. Medina's letter introduces inventories and auction sales of Neve's belongings. Autos by Galindo Navarro regarding Neve's executors and funds they administered. Corbalan relates to virrey that he has paid the heirs of Neve's doctor and describes transactions of Neve's wealth liquidated through auction; virrey(?) Acknowledges receipt of letter. Galindo Navarro in auto describes death of Neve and his duties to make an inventory of Neve's belongings, put his papers in order, identify corpse, and gather keys. Copy of Neve's will (ff. 145-159). Summary
Salcedo informs virrey that 7000 american troops have been stationed in Natchitoches under general Wilkinson. Includes copy of letter from Cordero to Wilkinson warning that any troops crossing over Sabinas River will be considered hostile. Cordero petitions Salcedo for reinforcements as many soldiers protecting frontier have succumbed to fever. Reply from Wilkinson denies hostile intentions. Also includes correspondence from marques de Casa Yrujo of conspiracy between Burr, Wilkinson, and Baron de Bastrop to secede western U.s. states from the union, along with takeover of Florida and parts of New Spain. Details by Casa Yrujo on U.s. president's misleading account of affair as reported to american public. Burr's movements watched closely by informant in Philadelphia known as el gordo, who is suspected by Salcedo of being double agent. (A. Tukey, August 1988)

Summary
Correspondence concerns arrival and distribution of arms shipment from Spain, including mention of 'navio de Guerra,' San Julian, in which transported; arms to be sent to 'cajas reales' where troops of 'Provincias Internas' will purchase them; problems incurred as sale price too high, 'real tribunal de Cuentas' formulates plan to sell arms at cost, eliminating 'recargo' placed on them, virrey mandates plan, discussion ensues regarding which arms, and how many of each, 'companias' and 'presidios' should receive, as well as how 'cost' should be determined.
