The persons listed below are wanted dead or alvie for the robbery and killing of 3 men at la Cienega de los Olivos (including the priest of the Santa Cruz Partido). The gobernador decrees that all capitanes de presidios, Alcaldes, etc, shall be ready to apprehend the criminals. Rewards are offered. Fransisco Lugo breaks out of jail after capture. Antonio Saenz is implicated, but Joseph Perez of the real presidio del Paso del Rio del Norte says the Antonio Saenz fighting indios barvaros in his Jurisdiccion must be another man. (P. Antonio Lascano files a complaint against the Alcalde mayor (Saenz Moreno) and his comisario (Prudencio Chavez) by appealing to the gobernador. Lascano says Chavez and Joseph Baca came to his house with 30 armed men plus Indian archers to take him and his family prisoners. His wife and daughters were taken to Parral con carves descubiertas. the Alcalde mayor says Lascano was living illegally on land sold to Baca by Sanchez, and sends testimony of a testigos to the governor demonstrating that Lascano is a troublemaker, carries arms illegally, and shows no respect to the justicias. Joseph Carlos de Aguero (gobernador) orders Joseph Saenz Moreno (ex-Alcalde mayor) to return los Bienes de Antonio Lascano. These are 30 Reses, 11 Caballos, and Armas. Joachin Colla (Alcalde mayor). Lucio worked in Navarro's store, and stole a piece of linen (Bretana). He gave it to a slave (Joseph) who gave it to Juana (navarro's Cook). Apparently these two didn't know it was stolen. Lucio later retrieves the cloth. An interesting and enterprizing crime involving people of different social stations. Has implications of a conspiracy against el patron. (R. Perez) (1977)

Orena Sues for reclamation of money and goods stolen from him by Torres, who is the Cook in the household of Gonzalez. Orena does not want to press charges, due to the low station of the defendant; he only requires that his property be returned. (R. Perez) (1977)

The Alcalde mayor raids a card game attended by many men of diverse qualities and stations. Indios and gente de Razon alike are hauled off to jail. According to their confessions, it seems everybody always lost. (R. Perez) (1977)

Juan Rodriguez brings Fransisco Xavier Pacheco prisoner to Parral, saying he found Pacheco with horses belonging to Bernardo Rodriguez. Pacheco says Marcelo Hernandez told him to drive the horses into Santa Barbara. Marcelo Hernandez says Pacheco already had the horses and only said buenos dias Celedonio Antonio, Sirvente, says he met Pacheco a month before with stolen horses. The case is not settled. (P. Vicencio Cortes del rey sells Esclava mulata- Josepha Morales- to Antonia de Amparan for 300 pesos. Before the transfer of title is completed. Valerio Cortes del rey (Brother of Vicencio) appears with 300 pesos and demands the liberty of Maria Josepha, as he wants to marry her. It develops Valerio obtained the 300 pesos from Maria Josepha, who stole them from Fransisco Colza. The case then changes status from civil to criminal. It is not resolved. (P. Hayes) (1977)

Bartholome, Juan Joseph, Domingo, and Xavier, all indios taramauraes, were on their way to San Joseph del Parral to sell carbon. Domingo and Xavier attacked Juan Joseph, who owed them money, killing him with knives and metal-tipped arrows. They then attacked Bartholome, but did not kill him. He bore witness against them. Saenz Moreno sends people to return the belongings of Juan Joseph to his widow- Maria Regino. She already knew of her Husband's death, saying she heard from her compadre that two mulatos had done it.
